چکیده
Sectors are the engines of economic growth in any economy making inter-sectoral linkages most significant target for development practitioners and policymakers. This study examines ascertains magnitude production consumption Uganda’s economy. Secondary data from 2009/10 2016/17 Uganda Social Accounting Matrices (SAMs) is analyzed based on multiplier model. A buttress robust checks including a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) adopted validation purposes using longer time series 1980 to 2020. The found that one million income injection across sectors has larger effect (in terms output, GDP, income, consumption) than service sector followed by agriculture then industrial sector. Despite higher effects services sector, its contribution employment limited. large amount labor trapped low-paying subsistence agricultural Therefore, government should implement policies supplement rapid with strategies attract utilize excess Results also indicate prematurely emerged as driver before was fully industrialized. Government formulate catch-up rebalance agenda. To accomplish this, proportionately more funding be allocated Lastly, sectoral projections forecasts incorporated into National Development Plans, Budgeting Frameworks, forecasts.

Agricultural Inter-Sectoral Linkages and Its Contribution to Economic Growth in the Transition Countries
This study estimates an econometric model that incorporates the linkages among agriculture, manufacturing, service and trade sectors using a vector error correction model for Poland and Romania. Three cointegrating vectors for Poland and one for Romania confirm that the different sectors in the Poland and Romania moved together over the sample period, and for this reason, their growth rates are...
متن کاملComparative Analysis of Sectoral Multipliers of Input-Output Model and Social Accounting Matrix
The present study is to indicate that the comparison between sectoral production multipliers of an input-output (I/O) model and a social accounting matrix (SAM) framework is almost impossible without taking into account accounting balances and theoretical considerations. Theoretically, the I/O model provides the Leontief’s production function, on the basis of which sectoral output multiplier ca...

This study builds a multi-sectoral balance-of-payments constrained growth model that incorporates some structural heterogeneity between sectors and countries, such as differences in labor productivity, price competition, share of exports and imports, and the quality of commodities. The model in the current paper generates more comprehensive results than Thirlwall (1979), Blecker (1998), and Ara...
متن کاملThe Importance of Technology Based Inter-sectoral Linkages for Market Share Dynamics
This paper introduces inter-sectoral technology-based linkages (or technological spillovers) in a empirical model of international market share dynamics. The Pavitt taxonomy is applied as a yardstick for interpreting the empirical results. In accordance with the criteria behind the taxonomy, we find upstream linkages to be more important for the determination of market shares in scale intensive...

This study seeks to investigate the growth in agricultural, industrial and services sector of Pakistan in terms of their relative impacts on poverty reduction within the country. Further, it identifies the dynamic effects of growth on poverty as a way to capture the usual ‘trickle down’ effects. Secondary data ranging from 1981-2010 are used in the analysis and the results are obtained through ...
